2020-10-31 Semimar-Minimally Invasive Interventional Oncology Treatment of “Airway Tumor Obstruction”

According to the top ten domestic causes of death announced by the Ministry of Health and Welfare, malignant tumors have been the leader of top ten causes of death for many years. In the 2014 top ten causes of cancer death, lung cancer ranked the first place. Therefore, the general public must pay attention to the health threats this cancer may impose on us. Lung cancer is the number one killer of health, because it shows no symptoms in the early stage and is often neglected. The clinical symptoms of lung cancer are continuous coughing, change of voice, unexplained repetitive lung inflammation and bronchitis, sputum coughed up with blood, thick and turbid sputum, etc. People with the aforementioned symptoms must be on high alert, especially the "high-risk lung cancer group" must pay special attention to the health of their lungs.

Early-stage lung cancer often does not show any symptoms. Occasionally, lung cancer is detected only through physical examination, or certain symptoms caused by tumor metastasis. Most of the symptoms are not characterized by any specificity, thus this is also the major issue in the diagnosis of lung cancer. Generally speaking, the symptoms of lung cancer vary depending on the location of lung cancer. Coughing is the most common symptom for lung cancer. Coughing usually results from tumor growing in the bronchus, thus blocking the inflow and outflow of air or irritating the tracheal wall.

In order to give the general public a better understanding of lung cancer treatment, we sincerely invite you to participate in the Minimally Invasive Interventional Oncology Treatment of “Airway Tumor Obstruction” Seminar at Miracle Hall, 6th floor, The Lin Hotel Taichung (No. 99, Chaofu Road, Xitun District, Taichung City) on Oct. 31, 2020, co-organized by the “Department of Thoracic Cavity and Critical Care, China Medical University Hospital” and “Guardian Angel Cancer Care Association (Taipei)”.
